With the progressive change in the economic structure of the country more and more women are living out of their homes in search of employment in big cities and urban and rural townships. One of the main difficulties faced by such women is lack of suitable and safe accommodation.
Realizing the magnitude of the problems of working women, GPMS started “Subradeepa Working Women’s Hostel” in Madurai City in order to provide accommodation to single working women, unmarried, widows, divorced, separated, married when husband is out of town, and to the girl students Diploma and Degree Course in recognized private and Government Institutes and colleges.
"Subradeepa" provides protected and comfortable stay for the working women and girls students of different natives settled at Madurai due to their employment and education. Since ‘Subradeepa’ is run by GPMS, a women development organization, parents/ spouses of studying girls and working women leave their wards/wives with full confidence. Our ‘Subradeepa’ helped the working women to peacefully carry on their jobs as they enjoy a homely atmosphere here.
"Subradeepa" charges a nominal fee every month for the stay and food of the inmates. Both veg & non-veg food are served to the inmates depending upon their preferences. Monthly health check up is provided to the inmates to ensure good health. Inmates who are suffering from Chronic and infectious diseases are referred to further treatment and sent to their natives places if necessary.
